Description
Wanderlush is a 2005 Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40 cruising catamaran, Joubert–Nivelt / Olivier Flahault design, built at Aigrefeuille, France, and now docked at Vuda Marina, Fiji, under U.S. documentation (former hailing port Charleston, South Carolina) with French Polynesia taxes paid. Seller inventory figures give LOA about 40 feet, beam 21.4 feet, draft 3.61 feet, air draft about 58 feet, and displacement about 6,000 kilograms in fiberglass construction. Twin Yanmar 3YM30 diesels at 29 horsepower each (2005), on Saildrive SD-20s with fixed two-blade props, show approximately 5,687 hours starboard and 5,901 hours port—rebuilt units with last service noted October 2022. Fuel is 250 liters; water 560 liters; cruise about 6–8 knots and maximum about 10 knots at roughly 5 liters per hour combined when motoring.
Accommodation is a three-cabin layout with two doubles, two queens, one single, and a drop-down saloon berth—commonly counted as about ten berths—with two manual Jabsco heads, two showers, and about 6 feet 2 inches of headroom. The galley is up in the saloon with Force 10 three-burner propane stove and oven, dual stainless sinks, front-loading refrigeration, top-loading freezer, and a portable ice maker. Hot water capacity is about 24 liters. A Raymarine suite anchors navigation: Axiom 12-inch touchscreen plotter/GPS, EV-200 autopilot, Quantum radar, i50 depth/log, i60 wind, AIS 700, plus Icom VHF with command mic and an Icom 802 SSB with Pactor modem for ocean passages.
Energy systems are cruiser-grade: eight 125 Ah Trojan XL batteries serving house and engine banks, Victron MultiPlus 2000 VA / 80-amp inverter-charger, 1,320 watts of solar with Victron 250/100 MPPT, an Air 400 wind generator, EchoTec 260-DML-1 watermaker (15–18 gph), and dual air-conditioning units (about 16,000 BTU in the saloon and 11,000 BTU in the port hull). Sail inventory includes a Precision fully battened square-top main (about 55 m²), Precision headsail (about 35 m²), 2022 North asymmetrical A2 with snuffer, and 2015 Ullman A3 with snuffer, on Profurl Titanium furling with Harken winches. A new windlass and chain round out the deck gear. Wanderlush is a Pacific-ready Lavezzi with the systems list to match—Fiji-based, U.S.-documented, and equipped for serious bluewater miles.
Catamaran shoppers comparing Lavezzi 40s should weigh this hull’s documented systems depth—watermaker, high solar capacity, SSB, AIS, dual air conditioning, and recent sail inventory—against raw engine hours that reflect a life actually lived aboard. Vuda Marina as a docked location places her in a working Fiji yachting hub with haulout and service options, which simplifies survey and handover relative to a remote anchorage. Last antifouling was noted in February 2026 on the owner inventory form, useful timing for buyers planning a survey in Fiji.
