This 2001 Caliber 40 LRC has been owned, sailed, and meticulously maintained by the same owner since 2010, with a maintenance and upgrade record that runs to over a decade and a half of continuous investment. The Caliber 40 LRC (“Long Range Cruiser”) was designed by Michael McCreary and built by Caliber Yachts in Clearwater, Florida from 1995 to 2006. Roughly 140 hulls were produced. Solid hand-laid fiberglass construction, a deep skeg-hung rudder, and increased fuel and water tankage over the standard Caliber 40 give the LRC a well-earned reputation for offshore seaworthiness, dry motion, and liveaboard comfort — with many examples having completed ocean passages and full circumnavigations.
