The Sabreline 36 Fast Trawler's modified V-hull design leaves traditional trawlers behind, reaching top speeds of over 20 knots. The 36 has a spacious command bridge with pedestal chairs for captain and mate and bench seating for six. The helm console supplements the interior helm down below with duplicate instrumentation and room for optional electronics. On the bridge, an optional table with fold-down leaves is available. Other options include an aluminum mast to carry radar antenna or a trawler-style aluminum mast and boom to launch your dingy. The inside control station offers excellent visibility, and has a sliding door to starboard for communicating with the crew. A large chart table to port and a pull-out shelf over the forward companionway keep navigation equipment close by. She has a modified deep-V hull with a 20-degree deadrise angle amidship and 14 degrees at the transom. The bow is relatively fine for seakindliness in rough conditions and has a pronounced chine strake with 3-degree reverse angle for the added lift and spray deflection. The hull and deck are made of hand-laminated fiberglass mat and knitted roving with balsa core as a stiffener. Sabre increases hull durability by incorporating vinylester resin and ISO NPG gelcoat into the DuraLam protection system.
