Moonbeam V is a well cared for 2 stateroom motor yacht. She is a capable cruiser with extremely well documented service records. The current owner has spared no expense in maintaining and improving this vessel during his 17 years of ownership.

Moonbeam V was repowered in 2011 with Promar big blocks rated at 500 HP each. The engines have been impeccably maintained and currently have approximately 600 hours. These engines can cruise at displacement speed burning 2NM/gal or at cruising speed of 26 mph burn .5NM/gal. These unique engines can get you quickly to a bridge opening, a lock or into port when weather arrives or they can cruise you gently and sip fuel.

Moonbeam V has many recent upgrades and is a PERFECT vessel for the entry level cruiser, a budget minded Looper looking for a turn key boat ready to go, or a live aboard vessel with a very comfortable layout.

The swim platform measures 64" x 30" and was removed and rebuilt in 2023. The area has a hot and cold transom shower to port (2026) , Weaver davit clips, and a telescoping swim ladder. The transom area also has fender racks with fenders(included), and twin 30A shore power receptacles. Climbing up 5 steps gives you access to the rear sundeck.

The aft sundeck measures 12' x 5' and is a comfortable area to enjoy morning coffee, docktails, or just sit and relax. The area is carpeted with marine grade carpeting, has a full isinglass enclosure with screens, a bar sink with storage below, and 2 additional lockers to port. The ceiling is 6' 5' in this area. There are also 2 marine folding chairs and an emergency throw ring conveyed with the vessel in this area.

The bridge is three steps up from the aft sundeck. There is seating for up to 6 adults while underway or at anchor. To port there is a bench seat, another bench seat is forward of the helm, the helm is a third bench seat. Every bench seat has ample storage underneath for the numerous life jackets (included), and dock lines. All helm seating was redone in 2023 by Goia Sails. There is a full enclosure with roll up isinglass windows and a newer (2023) bimini top. The aft isinglass on the bridge is servicable but will need replacement soon.

The helm has excellent sightlines with full set of Faria gauges, Floscan digital tachs and GPH scan ability, Garmin and Furuno electronics and a Standard Horizon VHF. There is a remote Guest spotlight(2026), a Hailing horn (2026), Dual trumpet horns (2026) and a digital engine synch tach. Remote control Goode windlass controls are also featured. The area is fully carpeted with marine grade carpeting in excellent condition.

Sidecks on Moonbeam V are wide and offer safety every step of the way. Stainless grab handles and railings get you to the foredeck with ease. Once on the foredeck you will find another dual fender rack with 2 fenders(included) to port.

The bow has a Goode windlass (2015) with 30' of chain and 210' of line. The anchor is a 25 lb. CQR with a stainless swivel. It should be noted there is minor damage to the bow pulpit at the tip. As per owner, it is not structural, only cosmetic and he had a custom sunbrella boot made to keep it clean and weather tight. (see pictures)

Also on the foredeck is the forward stateroom openable hatch. Looking aft from the bow, you will see 2 external speakers with covers for the sound system installed.

The salon is accessed from the aft sundeck through a sliding companionway door and down 5 steps. Once inside, you will see a convertible sofa to port that converts to a double bed for overnight guests. Just forward of the sofa there is a storage locker, Salon (and Fwd. stateroom) climate control panel for the dometic 16k reverse cycle climate control system, and a single 120 volt receptacle. To starboard you will find 4 storage lockers, and a 24" flatscreen tv ( unknown if operable). The salon has wall to wall carpeting in servicable condition. Ceiling height in salon is 6'5". The salon windows are openable and have new (2026) retractable blinds. To starboard just before entering aft stateroom you will find the main electrical breaker panel behind a fabric covered door.

The galley is to starboard just forward of the salon. It is three steps down so you can still see and chat with guests while preparing meals. There is ample counter space, a single bowl stainless sink, and numerous cabinets and drawer space.

Appliances include a Vitrifrigo freezer/fridge (2012), a Rival microwave, a 2 burner Kenyon electric cooktop, and (1) 110 volt electrical receptacle.

To port is the dinette with freshly re upholstered seating in marine grade vinyl. The dinette easily will seat 4 adults for meals or game night. There are 2 storage lockers above the dinette and (1) 110 volt receptacle.

The bathroom is just forward of the Galley area to starboard. There is a fully enclosed shower with sliding glass door, a salt water electric head, a sink with storage underneath and above. Headroom in shower and bathroom is 6' 5".

There is an openable port light in the bathroom for ventilation.

The forward stateroom features a walk around queen sized bed (6' 5" x 7') Just forward of the bed is access to the anchor locker. There are storage lockers on either side of the bed, 6 deep drawers under the base of the bed, and two hanging lockers. Above the bed is a ventilation/escape hatch with screen. There is a single 110 volt receptacle in the room as well.

The aft stateroom features a full size bed( 6' 4" x 4' 5") that is placed on the starboard side of the boat perpendicular to the hull. On the forward side of the bed is a wrap around night stand with mirrored storage lockers above. This area also has a single 110 volt receptacle, climate controls and a clarion stereo ( inoperable).

At the foot of the bed to port there is another 3 drawer storage area and the door to the rear bathroom. There is a single hanging locker forward to port. There are port lights above the bed (inoperable), and a large ventilation/escape hatch on aft wall above the bed.

The aft bathroom is a full bath with enclosed shower with sliding glass doors. There are 2 port lights that open for ventilation. There is a single bowl sink with storage above and below, and a salt water electric head.

Moonbeam V really shows her stuff in the engine room. Repowered in 2011 at 800 hours, the current owner spared no expense installing ProMar marine big blocks rated at 500 HP each. They are mated to Velvet drive transmissions (port new in 2025). Recent work on these engines is as follows:

2025/2026: all new pencil zincs, new distributor caps and rotors, all new exhaust manifolds, risers, exhaust hoses, belts,hoses, impellers, fresh coolant,freshly tuned and oil changed. The carbs have been precisly tuned to run flawlessly year after year.

In addition to these beautifully maintained engines, transmissions and coolers( newly replaced) there is a new Fireboy suppression system(2026) Tides dripless shaft seals(2026).

Forward in the engine room is the Kohler 7.3 KV generator(2002) with 716 hours. The genset has been serviced with a recent impeller change, pencil zinc, oil change, new fuel pump and carb, new radiator cap and fresh coolant, and freshly tuned up.

The batteries are centerline in the engine room. A single 8D flooded cell battery handles the house and there are (2) group 31 AGM batteries for engine start and a single group 27 AGM generator start battery. There is a 3 bank Guest 2632 30 amp battery charger on the aft wall.
