Description

The Gulfstar Hirsch 45 is one of the most desirable models to come out of Gulf Star's golden era, built in Sarasota, Florida in the mid 1980s in very limited numbers. Her center cockpit layout has made her a benchmark design for bluewater cruising in this size range, with a true aft owner's stateroom, real privacy from the forward cabin, and a proven, comfortable motion underway.

"YOLA I" is a 1985 model, registered in 1987, and carries that pedigree forward. She has been thoughtfully equipped for genuine long range cruising: repowered with a Yanmar diesel, and fitted with a Spectra watermaker, solar charging feeding a lithium house bank, and reverse cycle air conditioning throughout, the kind of systems that make extended time at anchor comfortable rather than just possible. Her hull was stripped and epoxy barrier coated, standing rigging has been replaced, and a bow thruster was added for easy handling in tight quarters.

Below, she offers two electric heads and a layout built around real cruising comfort. On deck she carries updated ground tackle and a well found sail inventory. "YOLA I" represents a rare chance to own one of Gulf Star's finest designs, ready to cruise rather than needing to be made ready.
