Design and Layout

Interior Plans: Available in two twin-stateroom floorplans, detailed further in the Ocean Yachts 42 Super Sport (1980–83) guide. Plan A features a wide-open salon, a galley down, and V-berths forward.

The V-berth is forward with a ventilation hatch, hanging locker, sink and vanity to starboard. Aft to port is the enclosed head with vanity, sink and a separate stall shower. Aft to starboard is the full galley area. Up a couple of steps is the salon wit a L-shaped settee to starboard, 2 Barrell chair to port with a teak Hi- Lo table.. Forward in the salon is a complete entertainment center. Out the door to a spacious cockpit with teak covering boards, teak cockpit decking, cockpit refrigerator/ freezer and a sink. There is a transom door with a gate. Up on the flybridge you have a center helm with a companion seat and a forward facing bench seat.
